Belcaro real estate has always been sought after, as it's bordered by some of the best neighborhoods Denver has to offer. It's also situated just minutes from the amenities of Cherry Creek and Downtown.
Belcaro Homes
Although the Belcaro neighborhood is adjacent to the Polo Club and Bonnie Brae, it has a surprisingly distinct character. Bordered on the east by Steele Street, the west by Colorado Boulevard, the south by Mississippi Avenue and the north by Exposition Avenue, Belcaro means “beautiful dear one” and like the other two neighborhoods sharing this tiny square mile, it lives up to the name.
Southwest of downtown, the Belcaro neighborhood differs dramatically from Polo Club and Bonnie Brae, specifically in architectural style. While Polo Club has the Rich and Private market cornered and Bonnie Brae is known for steep-roofed brick Tudors and fairy-tale ivy-clung cottages, Belcaro has everything from classic and French colonial mansions to giant post-moderns and Tudors. However, what really define these streets are the horizontally sprawling ranch homes that still manage to leave an above-average amount of elbow room. The centerpiece of the area is the enormous Phipps mansion and the all-brick, barn-house-looking Phipps Tennis Pavilion.
Aesthetically, the streets are wide and the tall trees weave a canopy overhead. Also, the houses in Belcaro are set far back from the street, leaving room for elegant driveways and wide front yards. Homes for sale in the Belcaro neighborhood are listed with the zip code 80209.
